BTS made it to the Billboard single chart at the same time.
BTS (BTS) posted both Coldplay collaboration song
'My Universe' and hit song 'Butter' on the U.S. Billboard main single chart 'Hot 100" at the same time.
Butter, released in May, remained on the chart for 19 weeks,
ranking 36th on this week's Hot 100 chart released by Billboard on the 5th (local time).
BTS and Coldplay collaboration song My Universe,
which was released on the 24th of last month,
entered the top spot in this week's Hot 100 released the previous day.
Billboard usually releases the top 10 hot 100 songs first on Monday
in the U.S. and then releases the overall ranking of the chart on Tuesday.
"My Universe" swept the top of the two charts, "Billboard Global 200"
and "Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.), operated by Billboard to aggregate
the trend of popular songs around the world as well as the U.S.
On Billboard's main album chart "Billboard 200," three K-pop groups,
including BTS, also performed well this week.
BTS' fourth full-length album Map of the Soul: 7,
released in February last year, went out of the chart last week after "long run" for 82 consecutive weeks,
but returned to 162nd place this week.
Crazy in Love, the first full-length album of the next-generation girl group ITZY,
made a surprise result of entering the Billboard 200 at 11th place, up 137 notches from the previous one.
Boy group NCT 127 also ranked 32nd this week,
following its own best performance by entering its third full-length album "Sticker" into the Billboard 200 last week.
